Ali was listed in the Mail on Sunday as "ONE TO WATCH" and was later featured as "the next Sharon Horgan", Extra.ie's "30 UNDER 30" and The Sunday Times "30 UNDER 30".

As a writer, Ali currently has FOUR TV PROJECTS IN DEVELOPMENT with four leading production companies in the UK & Ireland. PRIVATE LIES (Treasure Entertainment & RTÉ), HAPPY HOLLY (Keeper Pictures), DIRTY LITTLE SLEUTH (Euston Films) and SOUTHBOUND (Firebird Pictures).

Ali has been awarded the prestigious 2024 Focus Short Funding with Screen Ireland.

Ali plays Scarlett in her self-penned comedy play ELECTRIC which opened in 2018 to critical acclaim and subsequently went on to tour the UK & Ireland in Spring 2019. It is currently in DEVELOPMENT FOR A FEATURE FILM adaptation with support from Screen Ireland.

Ali was awarded the Pavilion Theatre Patron Donation Award with which she wrote THE DEATH OF PABLO. The play was staged for a rehearsed reading as part of the 2021 Dublin Theatre Festival.

SHE WAS THE CHAIRPERSON OF THE JUDGES COMMITTEE FOR THE 2022 DUBLIN FRINGE FESTIVAL.

Ali wrote and performed in her comedy short film MAGIC which is currently on the festival circuit with production company Alfonso Films. Ali plays Lauren in the film opposite Killian Sundermann. She recently won Best Female Actor at the Dublin International Comedy Film Festival and was nominated for Best Short Film.

As an actor, Ali plays series regular Bethany-May Denbrough in S1 & S2 of the critically acclaimed series WRECK (BBC & HULU). Upcoming projects also include BORDERLINE (Lionsgate). Previous to this she played Margot in Hallmark movie, CHRISTMAS AT CASTLE HART opposite Lacey Chabert and Stuart Townsend.

Further acting credits include ‘TIS THE SEASON TO BE IRISH, THE RELUCTANT ROYAL (Hallmark Channel USA) FINDING JOY (Treasure Entertainment, RTÉ), WALLED CITY PASSION (RTÉ & BBC), THE SOUTH WESTERLIES (Deadpan Pictures, RTÉ), BLASTS FROM THE PAST (RTÉ) and FIGHTING WORDS (Abbey Theatre - National Theatre Ireland).
